Reasons teens come see us…

  • Mental Health

Whether it’s stress, anxiety, ADHD, OCD, or depression, we understand that adding any of these factors to the already difficult teen years is hard. We are able to do psych testing in-house, give appropriate referrals, work with parents/families, and help you to get on a road to recovery.

  • Relationships

Whether it’s a dating relationship, your parents, siblings, or friends, we are here to help you learn how to best communicate. We know that having healthy relationships is a huge part of our mental and physical health. We actually feel better when we know we have people we can turn to and trust. We walk you through how to have healthy boundaries, how to be a healthy person for others, self-esteem, red flags, communication styles, and values. Now is a great time to learn these things … we love working with teens.

  • Divorce

Divorce can come with an immense amount of grief. It’s important we allow children space to think, feel, and say what is on their minds. We cater to the needs of each child and use evidence-based techniques that can help them process, find meaning, acceptance, healing and hope.

  • Blended Families

It can be challenging to have a step-parent take a role that might not have been expected. It can also feel overwhelming to have step-siblings, and/or half-siblings. It’s important to talk these things out, learn communication styles, set goals, and have hope for your family.

  • identity

We offer a non-judgemental space to explore your thoughts and feelings. We also welcome parents and families to join sessions per our client’s request.

  • Social Skills

More and more teens have shared that because of COVID and social media/technology, they are increasingly anxious around their peers. We help by role playing, teaching communications skills/styles, CBT techniques, and exposure therapy methods.
