Taryn Bentley, MA.Ed, LPCC, is a compassionate and dedicated therapist born and raised in Chicago. She earned her Bachelor’s degree from the illustrious Hampton University in Virginia and her Master’s in Clinical Mental Health from Malone University in Canton. With over four years of hands-on experience, Taryn is passionate about helping people navigate emotional challenges, build resilience, and thrive.

She is especially passionate about maternal mental health, women’s health, and multicultural counseling. Committed to fostering an inclusive and supportive environment, she continuously expands her expertise in evidence-based therapies, ensuring that every individual has the opportunity to heal, grow, and move forward with confidence.

She knows that opening up to a stranger can feel intimidating, which is why she leads with authenticity—creating a space where clients feel truly seen, heard, and supported without judgment. Taryn believes that finding the right therapist is like finding the perfect pair of shoes—sometimes you’re a 7.5, 8, or 9 depending on the brand, but at the end of the day, you choose the shoe that fits you. Therapy works the same way—it’s all about finding the right fit for your journey. Taryn brings her naturally warm personality, humor, and positivity to each session and invites clients into a space that accepts and encourages them to be who they are as well.

Using evidence-based techniques like trauma-informed CBT, motivational interviewing, and multicultural counseling, Taryn tailors her approach to meet each client’s unique needs. Whether guiding someone through a crisis or supporting them in everyday struggles, she empowers individuals to develop healthier coping strategies for lasting growth.

Rather than walking in your shoes, I need to learn how to listen to the story you tell about what it's like in your shoes and believe you even when it doesn't match my experiences."

Brené Brown

She is clothed with strength and dignity; She can laugh at the days to come.
