Taking New Clients

Sarah earned her Master’s Degree in Clinical Pastoral Counseling from Ashland Theological Seminary in 2006.

She has enjoyed working with individuals of all ages and backgrounds. Clients come to Sarah for help with depression, trauma, anxiety, anger management, life adjustments, addictions, grief, women/men issues, poor self-esteem and grief. She has a special interest working with individuals who have been impacted by a loved one’s addiction. She utilizes CBT, Motivational Interviewing, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy and is also trained in EMDR a specific modality used to treat trauma.

Sarah is very client centered and non-judgmental in her approach to counseling. It is her goal to facilitate a safe therapeutic space that allows her clients to be themselves. In doing so, Sarah views it as her privilege to come along side those individuals who are hurting, and in need of help and guidance. She utilizes her calm and gentle demeanor to help clients gain insight and learn the skills needed to meet their treatment goals.

Sarah currently lives with her husband and their three children in Jackson Township. Sarah enjoys traveling with her family, music, watching TV/movies, and anything related to animals - especially cats!

Welcome to my office…

I may not get to choose what I am given in life, but I am entirely responsible for what I think, feel, and do with what life presents. I can be as miserable, spun out of control, or emotionally shut down as I want to be, or I can be accepting of things out of my control, open-hearted, and loving. It’s up to me.
