Margie holds a Master of Science Degree from Lee University in Counseling and is a licensed Professional Counselor (LPC). She also completed coursework from Walsh University to be dually licensed as a school counselor. 

Her mental health experience spans through  education, school counseling and in private practice, working with all ages and  backgrounds. 

Margie is passionate about helping marriages and desires to help encourage couples who feel hopeless in their current relationships. Her desire is to see God's healing and restoration at work through various tools and the work of the Holy Spirit. She draws from evidence-based practices from Gottman Institute as well as practical marriage advice from  Jimmy Evans. 

Through her and her husband’s marriage of 17 years, they  have faced many challenges together. Her hope is that her experiences and trials have given her greater understanding and compassion to pass on to other couples.  She has experienced  the restorative power of a God that is faithful. She believes in the value of families and has a deep conviction to help strengthen them through counseling.

Margie is client-centered and eclectic in her approach, and encourages clients to come as they are without the fear of being judged.  She  values diversity, faith and empathy. She desires to listen and come to your side amidst your struggles and heartache in a non-judgemental and safe environment.  Her goal is to help clients gain the skills and insight they need to meet their treatment goals.

Margie is also available to work with teens and adults with life adjustments, grief, anxiety, poor self-esteem ,and in learning healthy coping skills . She is also certified to work with Injured Workers with the BWC, and as a career counselor. She enjoys helping individuals find their career paths or gain a better understanding of what changes need to occur to have a life of authenticity. 

Margie, her husband, daughter and dog, live in North Canton. She loves to serve through her local church. In her free time you can find her singing, crafting, enjoying the water, and spending time with family and friends. She is the proud wife of a Navy Senior Chief and firefighter. She also enjoys meeting other military and first-responder families.
